Diversity. Accessibility. Integrity.
These are my fundamentals.
As a UX Designer, I aim beyond functionality and strive to make every design more inclusive, efficient, and enjoyable.
There is always room to be better.
“How did you get into UX?”
Everyone who knows me knows that I thrive on two things: creativity and people.
I have had the good fortune to have been exposed to a great body of talent in the tech field, and through them I found my nexus of my thriving elements: User Experience Design. Studying at Kenzie Academy, I fully immersed myself in every aspect of UX, and while working with some fantastic teams I developed my own talent and mindset to bring superior products to users on nearly any platform.
“What are you passionate about?”
With the number of global connections between people growing faster
and faster every day, it is more important than ever to make digital interfaces accessible to as many people as possible. It is our responsibility as designers to expose ourselves to diversity in every aspect possible, to keep an open mind and heart, and to be diligent in making sure we are bringing everything we learn to our teams, our research, and most importantly, our designs. Talent, skill, and experience mean nothing if we make it’s fruits inaccessible to the people.
“What do you do when you are not designing?”
Even in my free time, my life still revolves around creativity and people.
I enjoy meeting with people (either locally or digitally with friends across the world) to play board games, roleplaying games, and create artwork. My personal favorite is Dungeons and Dragons, a creative storytelling game that promotes teamwork and ingenuity. When I need time to myself, I enjoy drawing, reading, and gardening. I am very passionate about animals and the environment, and enjoy taking my dog Duncan out for walks or practicing archery with my partner Brian.
“We shall not cease from exploration, and the end of all our exploring will be to arrive where we started and know the place for the first time.”
